Helsinki Timezone appointments out by one hour.

Exchange 2003 sp2
Cdo.dll 6.5.7651.38
mapi32.dll 6.5.7638.1
Bes 4.0.4.5
outlook 2002 SP2


If you change your timezone to helsinki on the blackberry and on your workstation.
Create an appointment on the blackberry it appears one hour out in outlook. This happens in october when there are 5 sundays in the month for october. So is occuring in october 2006. (now). and in october 2010

Would it be possible for besadmins to quickly test the above and report back with your results bes version number and version of outlook and version of exchange.

Or better still if someone has a fix to post that.

P.S I have checked outlook web access and all is ok.

post your version of cdo and version of bes and state if the appotinments are out by one hour or not

Looks like we are having the same problem with our HEL users - currently doing some testing.

If you change your timezone to istanbul for the month of october then change back afterwards. As its only the helsinki timezone affected out of all the GMT+2 timezones.

It looks like microsoft will have to update cdo.dll to fix the problem allthough its a bit late now but the same thing will happen again in 2010. so it still needs fixing.
