Scroll Wheel or Track Ball?

Do you prefer the old scroll wheel or the new trackball?

Supposedly the track ball will allow for a slimmer device. Besides the whole "won't ring if touched" issue, I love the new track ball.

Well it took me a week or so to actually get use to thw trackwheel and I love it. I played with the pearl and did not like the trackball to much. But I'm sure once I own the device 2 weeks in I will love it. I am planning on buying a 8800 even though it has a trackball.

The skinnier BBs are nice with the trackball but I don't like something like that sticking out the front of the BB. Because of the current problems with the trackball, I'm still sticking with the thumbwheel.

As much as I like the trackwheel, I have to say that the trackball makes navigation much simpler and a bit quicker. No more long presses of the trackwheel to click a link or holding down the alt key to scroll horizontally. I do miss the detents in the trackwheel that gave it a more solid and sure feel, but the more I use it the more the trackball is overall beating the trackwheel for me.
