Just moved to a 7130c from an Audiovox SMT5600.

I have successfully paired a Motorola HS850 headset to the 7130c, trusted is set to "yes", and discoverable.....very rarely can I get the two to connect automatically. I have to go into the 7130c's bt settings a tell it to connect to the headset.

After pairing, with my old phone, as soon as the headset was on and within range, the two connected automatically.

I also am having a similar problem with my Parrot CK3100 bluetooth car kit. The two have a successful pairing, but I can rarely get them to connect, manually or automatic.

Any help is appreciated.

I had a similar problem when setting up my HS850. Make sure encryption is set to enabled on the BB.

with bluetooth enabled on the BB go to:
Options > Bluetooth > HS850 > Device Settings and make sure it's set to enabled. Once I did this I had no problems having it discover the headset anymore.

Not sure what it did exactly but I know it helped me. Hope it helps you.

hmm I'm really not sure then. Could be a bad bluetooth radio in the BB itself. Head back to Cingular store and try testing your headset on another 7130 there if possible. If it's a bad bluetooth radio they should probably replace that original 7130.

That's what I was thinking too. Bought it online though with my company's discount program. I'll play around with it some more and then give the support number a call.

thanks for the attempt!

The discoverable setting on my phone is set to "no".
