I've written a client that communicates over MDS to a backend server. I have a number of Nextel 7510's non-BES working well over it (no static IP that I know of). However, not everyone has the same luck.

I have a 7520 that has a problem connecting. Once it did successfully but more often than not it cannot. Now the syntax of the communication is HTTP-XML.

As a test I opened the WAP browser and accessed a normal web page just fine. But when I tried to tie it to the XML communication it gave me a 406 not acceptable. Maybe this is causing the problem? Is there a config. option on the 7520 that can open this up for me?

my user open the browser config and check it's not just WML but WML&HTML but i figure this is too obvious. I'm wondering if anyone has come across any differences in the 7520's in terms of their default config that could cause problems (i noticed, for example, the default on the firewall was 'disabled').
