pocketmac and 7100i

I just started using pocketmac for my 7100i so that i can sync with my macintosh. It worked the first day i started to use it. Now im having problems. For some reason pocketmac will not detect the phone. Ive tryed to reinstall the software, reset and wipe the phone. Ive also tryed to use my xp and sync with the destop manager and that didnt work. Desktop manager will not detect the phone either. When its plugged into the pc xp the screen flickers funny. It did not do this before. This all started after using the pocketmac. Anyone have this problem or know what i can do?

Possibly a bad USB cable?

the same thing is happening to my phone (same one). It's not the USB cable for me, because the same cable works with my camera. Also it shows it charging through the computer, although it doesn't charge it very much.
