Duplicate "Sent" messages.

My first post so forgive me if I mis-step. I searched for this before I posted and didn't find anything so here it goes.

I have my gmail e-mail set up on my Cingular 8700c through the BIS. When I reply to an e-mail the reply showes up as a 'new' message that I then have to delete. I think that this may be specific to gmail. Any help would be great.
