Can not compose new message on blackberry

I am using the blackberry webclient. I am able to recieve all incoming messages and respond via blackberry to any incoming message, but I am not able to send a NEW message to anyone via the blackberry. When I click on send I recieve a green check mark beside of the sent message on the blackberry, but the person I am sending the message never recieves it. I do not see it in the sent items under the webclient internet site either. Has anyone else had this type of problem?

when composing a new email, scroll all the way to the top and look at the line that says "Using:" does it say Web Client? if not, change it.
