what would cause a blackberry 8700c to crash

My bb8700c crash and now all i get is a wight sceen with hour glass then it moves to a cingular blue sceen with a hour glass and that is it. I did conneck it to my comp then latter toke replace the batt. it did finsh the sys
is there any what to do a hard reset? like you can on plam and pocket pc to wipe the memberee?

Search the forum for javaloader. This will help you wipe the BB

wipe it once or twice and reload the OS, my 7290 did the same thing and that seemed to fix it... now i have an 8700 and so far so good

If you loaded any software add on's I would not once you get it restored.
The 8700 is usually very stable.
