I have a 7100T ia m giving to my brother. I want to delete my 300+ contacts. Anyway to do them other than one by one?
Try options -> security options -> general options -> push in trackwheel and should be able to get wipe handheld...

That will erase ALL user data from the handheld...I'm guessing he doesn't want to do that.
I would use the Desktop manager to clear the address book. Use the backup/Restore feature. In it is a button to clear databases from the handheld. I suggest making a backup first then try selectively clearing the databases you wish to clear.

Yeah, I am trying to avoid wiping out the whole device, although I may not have an option, because i also need to wipe out my calendar entries.
Also I dont want to screw up my DM or SIM Cards by switching back and forth, nor do I want to risk losing my Notes address book by wiping it out. I know it can be done. Its just time consuming.
Any other ideas on wiping out the Address Book and Calendar entries like you can do with Messages?

Use the DM. You can clear each individual database on the handheld in the Backup/Restore (Advanced, I think) function. I'm on a different computer so I can't look to make sure. It's in there though. It's quick and easy. I suggest making a backup first so if you clear the wrong thing you can get it back easily.

So far this is working like a charm....my company puts a security policy on our devices. Anyway to remove that using DM?

It is possible, though not easy. There are threads here on how to do it. *HOWEVER*, you risk your job doing it and the IT policy will be pushed back to the device anyway. The only time you want to remove the IT policy is if you are no longer using the device on the BES that pushed the policy.

you cant remove the policy
if that were possible the govt wouldnt use the BBs
the only way to remove the policy is have the same SQL server send an new or NULL policy - or wipe the device and send a new or null policy

Uh... you CAN remove the IT policy and replace it with a blank one. You do have to wipe the device using the option under security settings and use the procedure below. ***I don't recommend the OP do it, however. If you're still connected to the same BES, the BES will send a new one anyway.

We agree - what I said in part was
or wipe the device and send a new or null policy
And as you said the next BES will just push down its policy
