Any update on 4.2 for the 8700? I know it has been posted a million times, but we are for sure waiting for the upgrade...

Thanks in advance

Actually, even when it's released, there's no chance it will be posted all over the forums here. I doubt anyone will even mention it, honestly.

What is this 4.2 of which you speak?

No need for sarcasm, if I see a post including a link to download 4.2, I'm going to delete it! I'm anti 4.2. Long live 4.1!!!! Whoever posts a 4.2 download link will feel the wrath of Mr. Chuck Norris!

That's the way Chuck would want it anyway!

Anyone else notice that 4.2 is only a decimal point away from being 42, or the "answer to life, the universe and everything"...?

If you're not a Douglas Adams fan, just Google 42 to see what the heck I'm talking about.

K... I give. Why the negativity toward 4.2?

I've only ever known 4.1, and I am somewhat new to 4.1... so I don't even know anything about 4.2 yet. Is 4.2 known to deplete the ozone or turn our BlackBerrys to Blue?

See now... it's talk like this that makes the rest of us interested in 4.2. See what you did!

Hey smallville20, 42 or I mean 4.2 is intended to bring about BB utopia and at least for the short term deliver world peace in the universe...so they say.

I was hoping it would do some yard work too....

Wow... who would want that? I mean, could you imagine the pressures of handling a device of such magnitude? I for one wouldn't want it, but I'm sure that there is a "Lex Luthor" out there somewhere... just waiting to unlock the possibilities.

Look for it next month, at the earliest. Possibly March. Not sure from which carriers, but it's not too far off. By the way, it will be OS 4.2.1 (they are skipping 4.2.0).

Thanks for the update jibi. We can plan for the utopia!

BTW, thanks for making apps available throughout this forum. Really appreciate it!

Read the original post about 1,000,000 times and you'll get it. ;)

Ok, it's not negativity toward 4.2 as much as negativity toward the inquiries. Believe me, you will find out the latest info (whatever it maybe be: new devices, new OS releases, new accessories -- you name it) just by reading these forums.

I don't think new info has ever really been leaked as a reply to a post like this...
