"ghost" mail? Emails stay in blackberry/BES but were deleted in Outlook/Exchange ...

Here is the situation; We have users on a BES server and we are using Outlook2003/Exchange server (hosted by a 3rd party). Email/calendar/address book are wirelessly synchronized both ways. So when email comes in or is deleted in Outlook, it is deleted on BB (and vice-versa). One user pointed out that if he receives an email in Outlook, while it is bold/unread, and he deletes it. It still stays in his blackberry. When I try to file that email in BB to a folder, it goes, but never really appears in that folder.

What can be the issue?

Not sure WHY it happens, but when it does, try hard reseting the device. Sometimes that will put them in the correct place. If that doesn't work, in my experience, the only way to fix it is to wipe and reload the OS.
