"Seeing" shortcut keys

I'm a new user of an 8700c, though have used other BB devices in the past.

Have a simple question re shortcut keys that I have yet to find an answer for.

I have phone calls disabled from the home screen, so, as I understand it, I will be able to use keyboard shortcuts on the home screen..and I can.

However, I can't find anything that tells me which keys are for which shorcuts. My previous BB underlined the shortcut key for each icon, and I am of the impression that this is the case for this one, but there are not any underlines..anywhere. Some are obvious, i.e., the first letter of whatever I am looking to use, but not all.

Is this a theme-specific kind of thing? or an option that needs to be enabled somewhere else?

Thanks! That is what I was looking for.

No idea why it isn't published in the docs that come with the unit; I assume they don't change by theme...or do they?

Even stranger to me is the fact that with the standard Cingular theme I am using, the key letter is not underlined on the home screen.

I've never really did much as far as looking at different themes for different/improved/additional features...wondering if other themes might be more user friendly.
