I have people complaining their is tremendous background noise when I use my 8700 for calls. Is there a setting change I can make, or is this typically for BB? If I am in a crowd or have people around....I can't be heard...

I have people telling me the same thing. It also picks up wind like a windsock. I do not know of any settings or anything like that but my bluetooth headset makes it a little better even though there is no noise cancelling with the 8700's bluetooth. The upside to all of this is that the speaker phone works very well.

It sucks big time. yes EVERYONE says they hate the background noise. Get a jawbone. it works great!!! Introducing the brand new Jawbone Bluetooth headset (http://www.jawbone.com)

I don't have that prob when I am using my BT headset, no real noise problem.

Use a wired or bluetooth headset.

Noise cancellation would be a feature of the headset itself -- not bluetooth.

I don't get a lot of complaints...only when I've clearly been in an area that hahs a lot of background noise. Sometimes I cup my hand around the speaker but not sure if it really does anything besides making me look like an idiot.
