password problems - only number keys can be used

Hi all,

i'm a new user and need help to unlock my BB8700. When i try to enter my password, only number keys are accepted. When i try to enter letters nothing happens, i.e. screen stays blank. I have tried setting number lock and releasing it again, but it makes no difference. Thankful for any ideas!

Sounds like the SIM password. Try 1234 then enter key.

ok. i was trying to enter the password not the pin. it works now.
