I currently have a 7520 and I have a RIM leather holster, the plastic holster that came with the 7520 really scratches up the face. I'm getting an 8700c this week. I was wondering if RIM had created a better plastic holster that doesn't scratch up the face or should I get another leather one? If I need a leather one, does anyone have a suggestion as to which one? I've seen several. Thanks in advance!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I have a glove fit and pouch fit from Fortte. Another good brand (and a little more pricey) is Vaja.

The plastic holster will scratch your 8700c (and it will look far worse than your 7520 did). The RIM's leather holster works well for me.

Which one do you have?
This one (http://www.shopblackberry.com/_blackberryaccessories/cgi-bin/pd.cgi?frompage=category_by_model&page=product_detail&fromcategory=BlackBerry+8700c&category=BlackBerry+8700c&pid=F2222CG245XR223WRJ8) or This one (http://www.shopblackberry.com/_blackberryaccessories/cgi-bin/pd.cgi?frompage=category_by_model&page=product_detail&fromcategory=BlackBerry+8700c&category=BlackBerry+8700c&pid=F2222AF26XEAYLJ6JHB)? (highlight for links).

Are those top flaps snaps or magnets? I like just sliding my 7520 down in the holster with no cover flap. Guess I'm too picky... :-)

Has anyone tried the Seidio plastic 8700 holster? That looks like it might be nice and doesn't scratch the bezel.

Yep, I suggest getting the OEM leather holdster from RIM with the swivel belt clip. It will not harm your device and is easy to get it in and out.

I have hated all of the plastic holsters that come with the device. They will damage you device in no time and are sometimes VERY hard to remove.

I teach these plastic holsters to fly!
