I tried to see if you could use the MicroSD for readyBoost in Vista but no such luck :/ you have to have a real USB device for it to work incase anyone was wondering. If anyone finds a work around to make it work let me know please.

* 3. Select “Do not retest this device”
* 4. Unplug the device
* 5. Open regedit (start->run->regedit)

I'm trying to follow these instructions but i cant seem to get past the third step. I plug my phone into the usb, then i go to "my computer and right click, then i go to propeties, ready boost, and it says " the device is plugged into an unsupported interface" and thats it. Where do i find “Do not retest this device”? Thanks

Does readyboost really work? I tried it and didn't notice a difference at all.

Tiny difference... not major... it still isn't as good as physical RAM sticks...

Thanks for the input, I have seen some videos on Google video (below) that did show a significant difference so I'm just curious to try it. I any one has any suggestions on how i can get it to work it would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe your best bet is just to get a cheap flash drive that is Ready-Boost enabled, and go with that.

I would suggest buying a USB Flash memory instead of using the MicroSD. The MicroSD slow speed will not help in ReadyBoost. Better to buy a FAST 512mb USB Flash instead. ReadyBoost will only utilize x amount of memory. No real need for a 1 or 2GB size. Don't succumb to the hype.
