Guys and Girls

The lovely people at my company have decided to buy 4 Blackberrys for the IT stuff on call. How ever there not feeling flush enough to buy us a bes.

I am there for redirecting there mail to a webmail address and using BIS to pick them up. This is all working well apart from when they get alert emails from IBM Director these hit the exchange mail box but are not forwarded to the internet mail account at all.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing the problem?

Many thanks

Why not use BIS to get company email via POP3?

why not get BES express fo rfree, and then just pay for 3 licenses which are under 100 dollars each

How exactly did you set up redirection? Why aren't you redirecting to the *.blackberry.net address?

Redirector is A PITA because the computer has to be on and outlook open all the time. With BIS, email is pushed automatically every 15-20 minutes.

Can't you add the Blackberry address to your active directory entry?

Hi folks

We are using exchange to for mails to the exchange mailbox and the internet address and this all works fine

its just alerts from IBM director that don't seem to work which is a key requirement for knowing if there is any down time

I think you need to go BES / BES express. If you're large enough to get "monitoring tools" - which I assume is what director is then surely you can spring for a few hundred bucks to get the BES express up and running.
