I have a 8700G and a Dell Bluetooth GPS (Model BT-309). I use this GPS with my Axim just fine.
I installed BB Maps and now trying to pair the GPS to the BB.
I turn the GPS on, wait a couple minutes, then turn on BT on BB and click "Add Device".
The BB searches and finds a "BT-GPS-01DD8F"
I click on it and it wants a passkey.
The passkey is NOT 0000. Infact Dell tells me there is no passkey. On my Axim I did not have to enter a passkey (nor on my laptop either). Why does the BB ask for a passkey that does not exist?

It's common knowledge that Dell mostly sells rebranded peripherals, and that holds true here--the Dell Bluetooth GPS receiver is actually a rebranded DConnex DC-0103 in a new case.
