icons vanished from homescreen v. updated software to 4.1 on my 7250

internet browser vanished. got that back by:

options---advanced----host routing table----and registering the very last one again.

....but my saved messages folder is no longer on my homescreen. how do i restore this?

I've had the exact same problem after a recent OS update on my 7520 to v4.1.0.380. I had a "saved items folder" icon on my home screen that has disappeared, and I can't determine how to reactivate it, or reinstall it.
I'd like to see any suggestions.

I've noticed in the host routing table that "Verizon [c40]" is in bold, while the rest are not. Is this relevant to the now missing saved messages folder?
