Verizon 8703e and other networks

Can the Verizon 8703e be unlocked and used with other networks: Cingular, Nextel, etc?..

No. Verizon and Sprint use CDMA technology. A Verizon BlackBerry will only work on a CDMA network. If I am not mistaken Verizon and Sprint do not allow devices from the other carrier.

Nextel = iDen.
Cingular = GSM
T-Mobile = GSM

As posted above, a Verizon phone will only work on the Verizon network.

I used a verizon 8703 on alltel for a few weeks. The only thing that I couldn't get to work was EVDO. Email,web, and text worked fine
