Deleting email on 8703e

Just migrated from a 7250. When deleting email on the 7250, if you set "Delete on" to prompt, you got a choice of deleting handheld only or handheld and mailbox. On the 8703e, if you select "Delete on" to prompt, you just get a delete or cancel choice. In other words, there no longer is a choice of deleting as an either/or...

You are correct. I think it only deletes from the mailbox if you are on BES. Maybe Redirector.

If you want the double delete option, you can delete individually or use alt+scroll wheel to select.

You set the defaault for delete in Messages, Options, Email Reconciliation; and set it for each of your mail services. Selection the message service at the top of the screen and the default delete, then select and any other message services.

I DID go to messages, Email Reconciliation, Delete On, Prompt but after saving and then deleting an email, it doesn't give me a choice of handheld or handheld and mailbox. Doing the exact same thing on the 7250 worked correctly. There must be something else going on...

What OS version are you using? I'm on 4.1.0.344 (8703e - VZW) and when I set the option to prompt, it gives me the choices you're looking for. (I'm on a BES)

Actually....I didn't even know that option was there (BB for only 2 weeks).....so I guess... "Thank You" for this thread.
