Cingular does not offer insurance on the 8800 or any type of PDA phone. Does anyone know of alternatives?

Jeff,

You may wish to contact your insurance agent (homeowners/renters) to request information about a personal article "rider". Quick, easy, and generally less expensive than what you would pay your cell co. for insurance. In the past, I have insured phones for full replacement value of approximately 600.00 for ~$30.00(USD) for 12 mos coverage.
Best,
Phuzzy

Laptop Insurance From Safeware (http://www.safeware.com/) (they do other electronic devices also)

Unfortunately, Safeware has a hold on covering phones.

Good idea. I'll look into it.

My account shows insurance on it when I look it up on line.

I don't know if you have Cingular or not but when I was showing insurance too but when I called Cingular to investigate they told me that I had insurance for my phone and then that they don't cover blackberry's. So I was basically paying to insure a phone that they don't even cover. Somewhat sketchy to me, so I would check into it.

Cingular's insurance companies do not cover any PDAs including BBs
