Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You MUST purchase a Blackberry Data Plan from your carrier. Without the Data Plan, you will be able to use the phone and SMS text messages.

The one offred by your carrier.. Some have different data usage amount plans. If you are going to use allot of data then check into a unlimited plan

Call your provider or check their website.. Every carrier offers different data plans so make sure you ask for the blackberry data plan(s)

If u want to use the 8700 as a phone ONLY without a data plan then install the .309 OS which gives u the option to disable Data Services, then u wont get the "Data Services Refused" message at the top. HTH
