Charging an 8800 on vista without DM

I want to charge my 8800 on my Vista laptop but don't want the full blown DM installing. Is there a way to just install the USB Drivers?

Mine charges just fine without any drivers. I travel and I hate to carry chargers. I have a retractable USB cable and it does just fine.

I'm getting the obligatory USB charging current is not sufficient message.

I get that message as well but it DOES Charge. I have been on the road for a week and the only way it gets charged is via a Belkin retractable USB cable.

i get that msg too, but when i just hit the back button, the msg goes away and the little lightning bolt is next to the battery charging!
