you can enjoy a fairly robust web browsing experience. Id load Opera mini for myspaceing

Make sure your cousin closes their BIS account and releases the IMEI and PIN so you can set up email.

You will need a BB dataplan on top of a voice plan for Internet and email.

What carrier is the BB used on? If it is a Verizon or Sprint branded device, you will need to use it on that network only. If it is a GSM device you will need to get it unlocked before you and use it on another GSM carrier (Cingular or T-Mobile).

well its t mobile and imma use t-mobile so thier shouldnt be a problem will he still have to do all that pin stuff if there was never a data plan on it? Also is there anyway to get a im software that doesnt use sms?

If he never setup an email account with it then it will be no problem.

Lots of IM software out there. Check the Aftermarket Software discussion on this forum.

Never used a sidekick.

hmm how can i explain this hmm well is the speed fast? on the web

Speed depends on the connection, the phones processor and memory available, and your perception. Given you will be on T-Moble and EDGE, the average speed is 50-90 kbps. It will not be anything near broadband speed on DSL or cable modem, but it will be adequate to surf. You will just have to wait for pages to load.

the 7290 is in no way like a sidekick..the 7290 is used mainly for business

the 7290 doesn't have edge. its a pretty slow surfing experience. Pony up for an 8700 if you want highspeed.

well hmm will all tmobile phones run like this? cause if its not that long of a wait ill be fine u know

Run like what? It depends on the device. They don't all have the same specs...

The 8700 has edge if you want to stick with t-mobile.
