Here's what's on mine:

BBToday
NewsClip
BB411
BBWeather
Opera Mini
Google Maps
BBMaps

Still looking for a good app for streaming stock quotes and sports scores (that doesn't cost too much $$$/mth)

**Note: BBLight did not work on my 8800. I really wish I could put that on this list.

Telenav
Google Maps
Infospace FindIt has been pretty handy too while traveling...

It all depends on your needs and preferences.

I'm a big fan of Pocket Express. The core channels (weather, news, sports) are free, but a monthly charge is for all the channels.

OTA: Pocket Express Delivers News, Weather, Sports, Stocks, 411 Lookups, Maps and Directions to Smartphones (http://express.handmark.com)

Other favorites mentioned already:

- Newsclip
- Find It!
- Google Maps
- Opera Mini

I would also like a free/low cost stock program. I would really like a fantasy sports app more though.

Would this be something you're looking for? Can't find anything that says it costs: Widgets and Tools | Market Filters (http://www.marketfilters.com/widgets/index.php#mobilequotes)

Also consider the Aftermarket Software Forum on this site. There are a LOT of options there.

Anybody aware of a quicken for BB or a means to add expenses to a file importable into quicken?

I buy SpellCheck and Repligo. Repligo has been very good at storing attachments and then being able to send them to someone else.

I take it BB411 is name and phone lookup function, like switchboard?

How does the map thing work?

Ascendo DataVault

Awesome secure password management and ID record storage software. Both the desktop and BlackBerry interface are fantastic and their tech support is first-rate.

Regarding Beyond411, when one selects the Default Autoconnection, does that mean it will use the blackberry browser on the BES server when doing a search if you have an Enterprise Server (i.e. MDS service on the BES)?

I hope someone with BES can answer this for you as I do not use BES.

Noticed you have Notifire and Messege Alerts. I also am also licensed for both but the Notifire developer hasn't upgraded the app in well over a year. Where did you get a version that runs (well) on an 8800??

Yeah, I did the check phone thing at the yahoo go site, says not ready for the 8800 yet, supposed to be in April though. So I responded and should get a text message back from them when it is. Will try to remember to post it once it is

I use mine primarily (90%) for work use and here's my list of aftermarket stuff:

TeleNav
Opera Mini
Google Mobile (incl. Maps, News, and Search)
Berry411
Repligo & BeamBerry (testing them both out; trying to decide on one)

Very happy with my setup.

I am still running v2.06 which is a year old. I am having lots of problems and the developer and I have been trying to work them out with Blackberry's help. Unfortunately, I cannot get email messages to work, but the SMS work great!

I don't have my 8800 in hand yet, waiting on delivery but I should have it tomorrow (I've been away from home all week). But I've decided which two apps I'm going to get right off the bat, and then assess what else I might want/need later:

-- Pocketday Professional, and
-- Blackberry Alerts

I understand most of the apps people are listing eg: googletalk
But a few are confusing as to what they are.. when you list your must have apps can you put a brief description on it if it's not so obvious like ninja95 did :) Thanks.
