I am trying to setup an email filter and I am having problems. I want all messages that come into my bb via verizon: username@<hidden> to be forawarded as a Level 1 message so I can associate a different sound to them. I have tried everything I can think of and it just won't work. Am I missing something here?

setup the filter for 'new mail arrives' - select 'forward messages to handheld' and check the box as 'level 1' Thats how I have mine setup and everything that comes to my BB address comes over as level 1.

There is no option with "NEW MAIL ARRIVES". I am using a 8703e and setting up filtering on the device itself.

are you using BIS to do the filter?

You have to edit filters for BIS on your carrier's BIS site.

Just edit the default filter for your account and set it to forward as Level 1.
