I've searched the forum and found some answers but I haven't been able to get an exact answer so here goes...............

Can I take the sim card out of my Nextel 7100i and put it in a Nextel 7520 and have it work for phone and BB emails?

Does the 7520 have to be activated by Nextel or simply inserting the sim card will accomplish this?

Will connecting the 7520 to my PC transfer all my Outlook contacts and calendar or is there something else I have to do.

Your probably wondering why would he want to go from a 7100i to a 7520 so here's my reason. I have a chance of getting a really nice 7520 cheap and would like the ability to switch between the two phones and see which one works best for me. I'm sure the keyboard on the 7520 would be much better for emails.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

No one can help me with this? I have found posts about going from a 7520 to a 7100i but couldn't find anyone that put a 7100i sim card in a 7520. There has to be someone that tried this.

Thanks for the reply cek151. Where do I change my hand set imei? Do I use the desktop software that I already have to do that. Also is this where I enter the new bb pin#? I'm assuming that I can use the desktop software I already installed for the 7100i.

You will need to call customer care and have them update the IMEI associated with the device. You will also need to log into your BIS account and make the same change, and send service books as cek151 stated.

Okay. Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to be able to switch back and forth with the sim card without having to call customer support each time.
