View Full Version : BES 4.x for Domino - Multiple Domino Domain SMTP Issues

Hi

The following situation has arisen, and I'm stumped:

We have two Domino Domains, DomainA and DomainB. These domains are cross-certified at a certificate level, and mail routes between them with no difficulty (connection documents in place).

Directory Assistance is used to obtain the users on the BlackBerry server, and as this stands, all mail (with the exception of outbound SMTP) functions perfectly. A user in DomainA can send mails to users in DomainA and DomainB, and a user in DomainB can send mails to users in DomainA and DomainB.
BlackBerry Users in DomainA can send SMTP mail without difficulty, and their e-mail address at the recipient end is mdoe@<hidden>. However, when a BlackBerry User from DomainB sends an SMTP mail, even though his address is ndoe@<hidden>, the recipient sees this as ndoe@<hidden>.

DomainA.org - has own SMTP gateway
DomainB.net - has own SMTP gateway

A BlackBerry User in DomainB sends a mail to jdoe@<hidden>, and the mail gets routed via DomainA's SMTP gateway.

Is there anyway to get around this?
I've been looking through all the forums, and KB articles available, and can't come up with a satisfactory answer.

Thanks
