Solution for "beached" Blackberry??

Against every bit of advice I have given, my gf has insisted on taking her BB with her to the beach and now thinks she has sand in the keyboard. I will give her that she did do a press release that was announced even on WSJ.com so she has a bit of an excuse...

Anyways... is there a way to rid a keyboard of sand?

We just need it to make it til' August.

There are various threads on how to take apart a BB...you could clean it out that way.

Or find a can of compressed air and try to blast those sand pieces out.

Do as Pizzle suggested, compressed air and blast away. Hold the can upright so the liquid does not get in the BB. Taking it apart would be a good idea if you had the proper tools, etc.

So funny. I did not think about it like that when I typed it. No, she is upgrading and switching to CW in August.

I will do the compressed air thing before trying to take it apart.

sand is tuff. I would take it apart very simple and only tool you need is a T-6 torx driver 2.99 at sears
