"Data Connection Refused" Message

I'm getting a message on the same place I usually see the carrie's name (Cingular) saying "Data Connection Refused".
Any clue what is that?

Typically, that shows up when you don't have a Blackberry Data Plan. If you're convinced you do, I'd check with the carrier and make sure your account is set up properly. Sounds to me that it isn't.

Or, it could simply be an issue with the network that will fix itself over time. Start by pulling the battery (hard reset), and do so every couple of hours.

If it's not option one, it's probably two.

Totally the answer - have had this issue happen a few times. Your account wasn't setup properly with regards to the data plan. See your provider.
