View Full Version : upgrade to sp2 on server 2003 - good or bad idea?
Hi,
Yes, I know there can always be issues, but I am wondering if anyone has run into anything specific besides the below:
support.microsoft.com/kb/912918
Users cannot send e-mail messages from a mobile device or from a shared mailbox in Exchange 2000 Server and in Exchange Server 2003
enviroment is:
sbs 2003 sp2
isa 2004 sp2
exch 2003 sp2 [7638.2]
bes 4.1 sp3
Thanks a bunch,
Kurt

Besides the send as which of course already has a workaround, zero issues going from SP1 to SP2 on our Exchange '03 box.

Great, what exact send as issue are you referring to, there are several - thanks again, Kurt

Let us know how your SP2 upgrade goes, you really shouldn't have any problems.
I'm not sure if many people have upgraded to 2003 SP2. I'd be interested in knowing how it went, as well. I think we've deployed less than a handful of SP2 servers here.

No issues to report. Update went smoothly to both the BES and the Exchange servers.
Went smooth here also on two of our SBS2k3 machines.

Here is another thread that is going where there were two Win2K3 SP2 upgrades that caused the same exact issue. My upgrade being one of them.
