BB 8800 SIM card

I am replacing a BB 8700c with a BB 8800 and am having problems moving the SIM card to the new Blackberry. I have a Cingular 64K Smartchip and it doesnt seem to fit into the new 8800.

Any ideas ?

SIM card are SIM cards.

Make sure you are using the SIM card slot - on the left hand side above the battery and not trying to use the microSD memory card slot (in the center above the battery).

MY 8800 is EDGE. My SIM is 3G

Just last week I upgraded one of my end users from 8700c to 8800 and used the SIM from the 8700c - worked fine.

As NJ said, make sure you're putting the SIM in the correct slot - the SIM slot is to the left of the MicroSD slot (kind of hidden). Goes in so the 'notch' is on the right side of the card.
