Device not being detected

Hi i have a 7105T T-Mobile and i am getting error 507 i have installed Desktop Manager and 420_b018_multilanguage ( rogers handheld softwar/OS ) and deleted the vendor.xml. so when i open desktop manager it says disconnected at the bottom so i went to connections settings and clicked on usb and hit detect, it says "please ensure that the device is connected properly" after i click the ok button i get a message saying " USB device found PIN: 20377DSD" but in the desktop manager it still says disconnected. am i doing somthing wrong?

507 means you don't have an operating system on the device, and it will show Disconnected. Assuming you have the BB OS installed on your PC, you can just click the Application Loader icon in Desktop Manager and it will walk you thru re-installing the OS onto the device.

yea but I don't know where to get the OS and the other files needed to put on the 7105T

From your My T-Mobile website.... Log in and you will see the device and upgrade system link.... Click it and download the Handheld OS... :)

once it is downloaded install it on the PC.... Open Desktop Manager and then select Application Loader and install the OS

i dont subscribe to T-Mobile i have Rogers, i bought the phone of ebay unlocked, i will see if i can find the OS on t-mobiles site

Then log into your Rogers site and download from there... :)

You can put any providers OS on it, it matters not... The only consideration is if it is a non service providers OS then you need to delete the vendor file :)

Ok lemme find you the T-Mo download..... You will however need to remove the vendor.xml file after it is installed...
