Force the connection. Within the Desktop Manager, go to connection settings, and manually detect it.

If that doesn't work. Pull the battery, plug it in, and do the above. When it starts to reload the OS, put the battery back in.

it says device not found. desktop manager wont let me restore

desktop manager says disconnected, and the computer makes a noise confirming connection, and BBDM sees something is connected

Have you tried the battery out attempt? I've always had that work, even if all else has failed.

507 means no OS. That's normal after a wipe with JL_Cmder. You'll need to install the 8703 OS from Verizon's website on to your pc. Then do as Pizzle says....connect it and open DM. Then go to "connection" and select USB. Then go to Application Loader. It will then load the OS back on.

If you have a 507, then you're halfway there. The device has no OS.

- Download the latest OS for your handheld.
- Run the .exe
- Search for the Vendor.xml file on your computer
- Delete it
- plug in your Blackberry...should update automatically.

Nope. Dump happens. That's why the solution comes quickly to us. We've dealt with it before.

it was weird...i saved a picture and i went to the pic, i selected it to be used as wallpaper and it said javaerror reset? simething like that. so i did like it does all the time, and it was locked up...nothing more.

what does suck is that my last backup was on 05/04/07...but its ok, no worries. there is only one phone number i lost that i need but i can get that easily.

when my FRU/Refurb comes in tomorrow im gonna send that POS back
