how to set a MP3 ringtone on a 8700g

Hi, i have tried to load a MP3 ringtone in my 8700g but without success, i get the mp3 file attached to a message and when i try to retrieve it i get "unrecognised fdocument format"

can someone give an idiot proof step by step on how to be able to do this if at all possible?

Instead of attaching the mp3 file and retrieving it by opening your email, try accessing the file itself straight from your browser. If it is not too huge of a file, you should be able to play and save it.
