I used to be able to type at will, and my wonderful Bb would automatically capitolize i and i'll. But now that functionality is gone. I haven't done an upgrade or made any setting changes (that I know of). I'm sure i'm missing something, though. Thoughts??

Check you autotext options. You can get to it by going to Options and Autotext. Maybe you I got deleted somehow.

I've entered a new Autotext entry for i -> I and that seems to work fine. I can't imagine deleting that by accident, I almost never go into Autotext. Is this entry in by default?

Wow, I never knew that. Maybe my kids deleted it while playing KaGlom! :) thanks for the info...

kitmoni, you may want to check your input language (Options-Language).
I have, a couple of times, somehow changed my input language on my 8703 from English to Spanish. I don't notice until I am typing a message and the i does not change to I automatically. Due to the fact that i in spanish is not a correctable word.

Bingo! I'm so happy you wrote that. I hit a key combination last week (I think Alt/Enter) and saw a brief message about spanish. Since I still saw english I didn't even think about it.

Something I found while grazing in these forums....fori...what ever.
In auto text you can set up whole blocks of information.
I use just a couple of key strokes to add a whole signature block.
Saved me tons of times and calluses on my thumbs.
For sales people it is also a great way to give pre-written responses to common questions.
