I downloaded the Beiks reader and two dictionaries. I open Beiks and get a message that says "Installed References - None". Any idea what is going on?

There are several possible scenarios when this may happen, but probably the most common one is when the device is overloaded with installed / active files.

I know it's arguably hard to present this argument when at the same time (sometimes) you can see there are reportedly over 50MB of free space and yet again I dare say this is exactly the case.

There is a mechanism in the BlackBerry OS that is used for enumerating / operating with installed files and it seems it has limited memory resources, because it sometimes plainly refuses to work properly and that can be demonstrated.

We've notified RIM about it many times and were told the OS is being improved in every new release...which is true...and yet you can sometimes fall into the situation you've fallen into.

There is no silver bullet to this problem that we are aware of.

What we suggest is that you start uninstalling modules that are apparently not used, such as additional language plug-ins, unused 3rd party apps, security certificates (if not used!) etc.

Also, try removing one of the dictionaries and see if that help seeing the other one.

That's the best I can do presently.

Thanx, Bobby. I deleted an app or two and now it works.
