View Full Version : 8700G New - Bad Sim and Bad Device Right Out of the Box?

Have a brand new 8700G, can not get it to register or receive any sort of signal. Wiped it clean and reinstalled the same OS from T-Mo, no change.

Had the sim card checked and was told it was not active (it came in the box with the device), so I swapped in a sim from one of my other BB devices on T-Mo, no change, still get the No Service message.

Swapped in a spare sim that works fine as soon as installed in all of my other devices, won't work in this 8700G, still getting the No Service message.

Any ideas before I go back to T-Mo for a replacement device? Thanks.

FWIW, I wouldn't have tried anything. Brand new device? I would have gone straight back to TMO.
