I purchased my Blackberry 8700c on ebay. When I got it and tried to install the software on my computer it was password protected. How can I override the old password and create a new one?

Are you talking about a password to get into the device? If so, just type the wrong password 10 times on the device and it will wipe all previous user data. Then you can set a new password.

What software were you installing on your computer? Desktop Manager shouldn't be protected at all.
