International MMS

Hello,

I am trying to send pictures via MMS to the USA whilst traveling through Europe and the Middle East. I have an AT&T BlackBerry Curve.

I have been unable to send any MMS picture messages to the USA.

What could be causing this?
- Picture size (taken from the BlackBerry Curve camera)? I tried reducing the camera/picture resolution but the pictures still would not send
- Telephone number format? I checked that the USA # format is +1 XXX XXX-XXXX
- No luck from Norway, The Netherlands or Egypt.

Is there a trick to sending MMS picture/photographic messages internationally?

Whilst in the USA I have received MMS picture messages from Australia successfully. I have also sent MMS picture messages successfully whilst in the USA to another USA based (T-Mobile) cell phone.

Appreciate any assistance.

Two things -

1. Try manually dialing 001 (xxx) xxx-xxxx.
2. Email the pic instead of texting it (even if the recipient wants the pic on their phone, you could email it to their text address.
