8830 Calendar Reminder Not Working

I've had a Verizon 8830 for a few days and have run into the following problem. Whenever I make an appointment in the Calendar, the reminder does not work. I have checked the Profile settings and they are all correct and set for a tone. Is there some other setting I am missing? Thanks for your help!

I am having this same problem! Another forum said to go under the service book and remove the CICAL for my work b/c i use bb redirector. That didn't fix the issue! Do i have to remove the cical for all my email accts?
