A friend went from a 7250 on VZW to an 8300 on ATT and the only issue i am having is that the address book wont restore to the 8300. Am searching the Archive as I type with no success. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hmmm... Can't you sync the 7250 with Outlook, then sync it back to the 8300? That is what we did for my wife's phone when she upgraded from the Cingular 8125 to the BlackBerry 8300.

Do you have the software to your new Blackberry? If so install it and there is a "Change Device Wizard" in this software that will move everything from your old Blackberry to the new.

If you do not have the CD, go tot the RIM website and download the Desktop Manager and install it

I have 2205 address book entries in the 7250 and shudder to think about re-entering them manually.

Can you delete the address book using Desktop manager- Backup/Restore- Advanced and then try restoring from the PC's backup. This is what I do when my outlook calendar won't transfer occasionally.

7250 Address book to my 8700 and get nothing. Must be an issue in copying it from the 7250. Any other ideas are most welcomed.

Wow I really thought that would do it. Ok, let's back track here. You did a full backup on the old device. You connected the new device and did a device switch and then restored.

When you tried what I suggested you did have the new device connected and performed the following Backup/restore>Advanced>and highlighted the Device Database for Contacts and Selected clear. Close>Close>

Are you contacts stored in outlook as well? If so after performing the above steps you should be able to just click synch.
