I searched and did not come up with anything, so I apologize if this has been covered already! Anyway, post up some pics taken with your Curve!

These ones are full size and full res, shrunk down to 'Medium' size on Flickr.

Yeah! I am trying to justify upgrading from the 8800! Besides the cam, is there any other benefits? As far as the RIM site, their comparison shows pretty much apples to apples....

I did not want to Solicit, so I left out the Description. Its a Doulbe Charger for our 7.2 to 18 Volt batteries. It now has a 38 Watt Fluorescent Light and 3 GFCI Protected Outlets. It can run on either the cord, or our 12 Volt to 18 Volt Batteries. Its under 8 lbs and has a durable cage built around it. All other info and the New Catalog can be found at DEWALT: High Performance Industrial Tools and Accessories (http://www.Dewalt.com)

Is the 18v batteries still nickel cadium or nickel metal hydrid? When will Dewalt start using lithium ION?

TAG1976
06-19-2007, 05:56 PM
The 18v are and will remain NiCad. We took Litihium into our 36 Volt line, and Its doing very well. Right now we have 38 tools in our line that work solely off of the 18 Volt NiCad. Im not going to say that we are not to expand the line to support Lithium 18 in the Future, but right now there is no forecast for it. (were going to get bumped to "Off Topic" land soon)

Lot's of great photos. Excellent quality from a camera phone. I've really been on the fence between upgrading my 8700 to the Curve or iPhone. But the quality of the Curve camera (and at 1/3 the price of the iPhone) is quickly helping me make my decesion. Also initial reviews leaking out on iPhone show that the touch screen keyboard difficult to type on for heavy business users.

TAG1976

Look into www.flikr.com or Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com). You can upload your photos over there, and then just Hotlink them over here. Once you upload the photo, just pull up it's properties and copy the path "URL" (make sure it ends in {.JPG} or {.GIF}) and use the IMG Code, which can be found here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/misc.php?do=bbcode#imgcode

Example:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/attachments/general-8300-series-discussion/8529d1183472373-pics-taken-curve-workingfromhome-large-.jpg (Use "No Spaces" and a pic will appear)

I am really suprised at how good some of the pics are taken with the 8300. Most of the reason I didn't care for a camera phone before was because of the poor picture qualtiy, but some of these look good enough to print 4x6, which is good enough for me.

I am happy i got the Curve. Now I can go playing with the camera.

lostturttle, that's a great shot of the container being loaded on the chassis. You would probably be shot if you were to take that picture here in New York. I am a freight forwarder, and we cannot even get close to containers, especially in NY Piers.

Also, that requested A4 shot, I didn't have anything printed, but I decided take a shot of the magazine, it should actually come out much better, but as said the camera on 8300 is very sensitive to shaky hands. Another problem is that it doesn't have counter mode, where you can set it to go off after x seconds. There is incredibly short shutter lag, so the moment you hit the button it takes the picture, therefore moving the Curve, and blurring the image. Otherwise if you have enough light, it will take great pictures.

http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/4681/img00222bm8.jpg

As for those who found their pictures a bit worse than others, please go into your settings and make sure you select Super Fine and Large (1600x1200).

Good Luck.

Wow, color me impressed. The photos I have taken with my iPhone do not appear to look this good and I don't know of any setting to adjust the photo size like someone mentioned earlier.

My question is if I can take a picture and then send it to my website (blogspot) via email and it work like it does with the iPhone. ALl I do with my iPhone is take a photo, send it to a mobile blogspot address and whalah, a new posting with that photo. I asked this in a thread but no one has answered so I figured this would be a great place to pose the question.

I've been dumping all my images to facebook directly from the phone (save memory space). The increased resolution was another selling point of the 8310 to me.

Just connect your bb to your computer with the supplied usb cable and a window or an icon should open up click on it then you should have four items showing i.e. music, ringtones, pictures and videos just click on the pictures and they should open up for you to do what you want .;-)

Use the image tag -- click the Insert Image icon just above the posting window. It prompts you to enter the URL of the image. Enter the URL and hit ok.

Photobucket has a "forum image tag" option for each picture. Just click that then paste here in the forum.

What's the difference between the auto flash (lightning bolt with A) and the non-A flash? Does anyone notice a difference? Does one help with redeye?

What's the difference between the auto flash (lightning bolt with A) and the non-A flash? Does anyone notice a difference? Does one help with redeye?

The one with the "A" automatically determines if the flash will be used. For example, when taking pics outdoors on a bright sunny day with the setting on "A" the flash will not go off. But move indoors or into a dimly lit environment with the setting still on "A" and the flash will go off.

Hard to make out the rank, but E-8?

Welcome to the forums, btw! I'm also a Washington fan (not as much as I used to be back when I was growing up in VA/MD, though) and I was in the Army for 12 years. :)

[Edit] BB 8320 pics!

The first one was taken at a Rush concert here in Albuquerque a couple months ago. Hard to make out, but here it is:

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b55/sgtcasey/IMG00043.jpg

This second one was taken from the 23rd floor of Treasure Island in Las Vegas the weekend after the 4th of July. My wife and I took our first "vacation" from our 2-year old son and hung out in Vegas for a couple days. It was hot and we missed our son before we even left the airport in Albuquerque but it was fun. :)

Used a program called Panorama 4 that came with my Nikon Coolpix camera. Hadn't tried it with pics taken with my Curve till now, but it works pretty well. Here's another shot of the same rainbow, 2 pictures stitched together (the other was actually 3 pictures combined).
