Can't open .wav on 8700g with new 4.2

I downloaded the new AT&T version of the 4.2 OS today (for use with my T-Mobile 8700g). I can download .wav files, but the unit won't play them. It states that the attachment type is not supported. Any thoughts?

Perhaps I can be more specific about the problem. The message I get after retrieving the attachment is "Unrecognized document format."

Most likely, the problem is exactly what the error message says. Not all WAv files formats are supported nowadays. I can send you a couple of WAV files which I have working on my BB to make sure where the probem lies.

screw .wav, just convert it to MP3. also, T-Mobile will be coming out with 4.2 in 2-3 weeks, so maybe their version will be better? i dunno...
