my pearl button doesn't push down

ok so i went somewhere and i had left my phone in my back pocket and i think i sat on it for a while without realizing it.

now, my pearl button in the middle doesn't click down. so basically, i can still scroll through everything however, i can't click down on it to click on things. so basically i need to press the ENTER button instead. it is painfully annoying.

you think i can return it and get a replacement? i've only had it for 2 months. OR..is there any way i can fix it?

Yes, you should be able to get a replacement, it is still in warranty.

On your own, you should try with some canned air blowing around the trackball to clean it. There are some tips about cleaning the trackball around here as well, just be careful with any liquids. A Q-tip and some alcohol helps, just be careful.

my 8830 doesn't have a metal retaining clip as the 8800 does and i was having problems with scrolling, seems like the ball is pretty loose. is this normal?
