Changing the handhelp help files

Can any tell me if (and then how!) I can add item to the BB help on version 4 hand helds?.

We want to get customised help files into our corporate devices and we'd like to use the existing help function.

If not, plan B would be to get some of our online help available 'off line' the idea is to offer some support notes when the device is out of signal/not roaming correctly.

Any help?

You can't. Take a look at some of the tutorials and resource kit. It's not that hard to write a simple multi-page application you can install (even remotely with BES4) on your clients' handhelds.
