8830 and gmail

I am a new user and I have a quick gmail question. On my email accounts page for my carrier (Telus) I have set the email account name to my "work" address. I use gmail as a spam filter.

My question is, when I send and email it still says gmail.com in the from field. Is there any way to change this to my work address?

mlechmann, yes, at the Telus BIS site, be sure to enter the "Reply From Address". Likewise, make sure that address is listed as the default account on your BB: Options > Advanced > Messages. Highlight and select the account you want as default, and save. Then, any email message you compose will by default be sent from that address.
