how do i add new contacts to SIM card?

i tried to go and do this but there is no option?
some one help a newbie please?

Open addresses
Click on desired phone number
menu appears; "copy to sim card is one of the options"

Select Contacts-> click trackwheel -> SIM Phone Book -> click trackwheel -> Copy All To Address Book.
