I'm in the process of switching from a GSM 7100G on Cingular to a 7250 CDMA on VZW. I've been reading that while you are accessing data, your calls go right to voice mail. If I am on a call and an email is sent to me, will I lose the call/be disconnected ???

P.S. 7100G AND Cingular a huge disappointment traveling on the East Coast...overall lousy reception and although the 7100g looks and feels very sexy, the lack of being to see the screen outside and the overall phone quality makes it easy to suck it up and go back to VZW.

Accessing data probably mean browsing the internet.
If you are on a call, the e-mail will just wait for the call to end. Your call will not be disconnected.

I understand that when the Internet is active/being browsed, that calls go to VM. But do ALL calls to go to voicemail while logged into Verichat, whether active or not?

I'm more concerned whether calls will drop or go to VM if you are composing or reading emails ???

I'm more concerned whether calls will drop or go to VM if you are composing or reading emails ???That's not a problem. When you are composing or reading, the phone is completely free.

The phone only goes to voicemail only if there's continuous flashing arrows at the upper-right corner that lasts for more than a few seconds.

(This applies to GSM BlackBerries at least.)
